--------- I've scoured the plugin cafe and the SDKs to the best of my limited ability. Does anyone know of a function that will return the gradient vector at some 3D coordinate in a 3D or 2D noise?
An example use for biology and physics: Build gradient vector arrows using some GradientVector(noise, coordinate) function to modify arrow size and direction... e.g., could become a MoGraph effector, but for now I would just make a script or a plugin.
See the image on Interpretations on the wikipedia page for a visual of this example... very common in science. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gradient
Thanks
