    What is the use of the MSG_DESCRIPTION_GETINLINEOBJECT message? I can't get my head around its actual use. The docs only say the following:

    Sent by the Attribute Manager to the object. The object can check for a description ID and return the linked objects in the atom array. The corresponding data is DescriptionInlineObjectMsg.

    I wonder what it's for because it is sent very very often.

    Thanks,
    Niklas

    Hi,

    just try to add this to you custom ObjectPlugin.

        	if (type==MSG_DESCRIPTION_GETINLINEOBJECT)
        	{
        		DescriptionInlineObjectMsg *diom = static_cast<DescriptionInlineObjectMsg*>(t_data);
        		if((*diom->id)[0].id==1000){
        			BaseObject *ob = (BaseObject* )node; //set Linked Object here!
        			diom->objects->Append(ob);
        		}
        	}

    Do not forget to create LONG  GUI element with ID 1000.
    Now it will lock like LINK (description element) with triangle that will show the Object it self if you click on it.

    Remo
