Hi,

i have a rather simple question : there aren't any ways to set a description elements initial value within the res file? something like this :

REAL MYVALUE { UNIT METER;  MIN = 0;   _DEFAULT = 45  _}

the only way is to do it, is within the plugins class ?

Unfortunately, you can't set a default or initial value in the description.  The definition of REAL does not contain that option.  You have to set the initial value in your code, as there is no good reason for the default value to come from the UI itself.
