shader degradation

    Hi everyone !

    I'm trying to implement some blurry stuff. 
    for now I just implemented some basics to test, if the raytrace setup is ok.
    but I noticed that the materials (blurry reflections for example) and area lights cast all rays always. Is there a way to degrade the lights/shaders so that they cast less rays (maybe just 1) ?
