    Hi,

I have some questions concerning c4ds snapping.

Is there any way to add my own custom snapping option to the c4d snapping tool tab, so all tools can use my snapping routine? Please don´t say no otherwise I loose my last hairs (though I fear that´s the case as I don´t see anything in the docs)

If I understand correctly, the snapping tab is stored per document and so if I change the settings in one tool and swithc to another tool it will always be the same settings as long as I am moving inside the same scene right?

    thx

Well, if I remember correctly, the current snapping is implemented as CSC scripts, so it should indeed be possible. I can't provide more info on this issue though ;-/

Turned out that I was wrong... there are just few scripts that set the snap parameters.
The SnapTool is a single monolithic tool, see GetSnapTool() in the SDK. As it's a member of the BaseDocumentClass, I think you're right about the storage per document.

Unfortunatly you can't add custom snapping methods to Cinema's own snapping interface.

    cheers,
