   Hi,

Using a SceneHook I found that when a new material is created, MSG_DOCUMENTINFO_TYPE_MATERIAL_INSERT is called as expected.
But also, directly after that, MSG_DOCUMENTINFO_TYPE_LOAD is called. I thought MSG_DOCUMENT_TYPE_LOAD should only be called after loading a new C4D- document!

Can anyone confirm that this a bug in C4D? Our plugin relies on some operations after loading a new document, but now gets confused after new materials are created.

best regards,
mcduck

I think MSG_DOCUMENTINFO_TYPE_LOAD is called because of the material preview which loads a document.

I can add that this unexpected MSG_DOCUMENTINFO_TYPE_LOAD is only called at inserting the first new material.
Any following material or texture loading, will not cause a MSG_DOCUMENTINFO_TYPE_LOAD.
(Just a MSG_DOCUMENTINFO_TYPE_MATERIAL_INSERT, as it should be)

Are you sure that MSG_DOCUMENTINFO_TYPE_LOAD isn't just meant for c4d -documents (and not any other type of file/document loaded) ?

If not, then could you point to a reliable way to run code when a c4d-document is loaded?

mcduck

Howdy,

Poll for the message MSG_MULTI_DOCUMENTIMPORTED to run code only when the document is loaded. ;o)

Adios,
