i wonder if it is possible to disable the drag and drop function in the structure tree. I have to prevent that anybody who uses my plugin is able to move objects through the tree, cause the plugin may crash then.
e.g.: A part of my plugin forces a strict hierarchy in the structure tree. So you have to insert a nullobject before you insert primitives like cubes or cylinders. But the users is still able to move these primitives in the superior layer.
Can someone help me?

your plugin must not crash. You can check, if objects are in the right hierarchial position; if not, put a message or do nothing. For user convenience you may also create the null object for the user. Provide some buttons, that makes the complete object setup that your plugin needs.
As an alternative, you may work with link boxes instead of relying to a specific object structure.
