Read Tag values from within Execute()

    The interface of my tag is built from a description resource.
    Now I try to retrieve these parameters from within Execute() or Draw() with:

    Real value = tag->GetData().GetReal(MY_REAL_VALUE);

    A zero value appears all the time. While looking for any differences to the lookatcamera example, I found only the GUI there being build at runtime rather than from a resource. Doing likewise makes it work. Same happened when trying to add combobox items at runtime.

    Are description resources not recommended overall?
    I ask this because resources for command plugins are suggested.

    The rule of thumb would be to use resources when it possible and code when you have to, to make it easier for your (and your users) to modify the interface without recompiling.
    I doubt that having a description resource is the reason for problem you're describing, though. Did you try using tag->GetParameter() just to be sure?
