But isn't there a faster way to use the light information? (I mean: I don't want to open them in Terrabrush on a PC, save them as a bitmap, transfer them back to my Mac, define a new material and put this as slide on my light in Cinema4D.)
What I meant is a plugin so that my Cinema4D-light can directly read out / use the informmation of the EULUMDAT- or IES-files without involving any other programs and PC's

The plug-in is for DIALux only. It contains illumination data, basic luminaire size data and that is it. No colour of luminaire, texture or any other information. So I think you're stuck with what you've got.

I've searched the whole web for another possibility, but no way. Let's wait for release 10 and hope Maxon can build anything like that. It would make the work easier and the lights would look more realistic.

If you go on www.erco.de you'll find the section download and there you'll find the EULUMDAT- and IES-files.
The file format is .ldt (EULUMDAT). It discribes several parameters which are not all included in the light parameters of cinema 4D, as there are e.g. intesity (Watt), lightning-angel and the combination of them, relativly to the distance.
For exact information you've got to read the discription at Erco for example, my English is not so well to explain these things in correct terms. Sorry...

hey rodrigomurcia,
i'm quite busy right now, so things didn't go as fast as i expected.
i'va managed to render scenes, both exterior and interior, with the same render settings. what i need now is to set the lights as true as possible.
i'm sure that ecorelli's information will be trully usefull.
maybe i'll post some images of what i've done so far.
