There seems to be some misunderstanding here.
In the Docs, it says:
If TRUE then the children are added to selection as well."
Okay. I select an object with children and I only get the object and its first child, not the rest, in the AtomArray. (Note: the child selected could be already selected from LoadFile())
What is up?

I think the behaviour is correct: only selected children are added. (The docs could be a bit clearer.)

That seems strange. This is not an inclusive setting, but an exclusive setting. If children objects are selected and 'childs' is FALSE, they are not added to the list, if TRUE, they are.
In my situation, there are going to be Polygon objects grouped under Null objects. When a Null object is selected, all of the children should be processed (since this involves materials on these objects). I take it that AtomArray- >Append() could be used to add the children to the AtomArray list used for processing?
Thanks for clearing that up, Mikael.
