I just want to make sure I'm not missing something basic:
CONTAINERS:
res/description/*.res files declare themselves as CONTAINER. The UI defined here appears in the 'Attribs' panel when corresponding object/tag/etc is selected.
The format is documented in the API docs on page
doc_DescriptionResou235.html
A checkbox is done like this:
BOOL ELEMENTLABEL { }
DIALOGS:
res/dialogs/*.res files declare themselves as DIALOG.
The UI defined here appears in the 'Active' panel when the correspoinding tool is selected.
Resedit only generates DIALOGs.
A checkbox is done like this:
CHECKBOX ELEMENTLABEL { }
Now, unless I'm missing something, this means that there are two different, similar, but incompatible formats to do essentially the same job depending upon whether it's a UI for a tool or for an object.
Is this correct?
