Hiya, Yes, I'm a first-time-poster. Yes, I'm probably posting this in the wrong forum and annoying all the regulars, but what the heck, I've got to start somewhere. Me, I'm a casual modeller, I do it for fun. If you want to look, there's some of my stuff here: http://www.themadgoner.com/TMG/esd_Art/esdGallerywall1.html (mainly in chronological order.. but not all). I'm using C4D R6. Anyway, my request for an expression/some help/pointers/kick in the pants: I'm making a simple steam engine, which obviously includes pistons and gears. I've set up the pistons to follow the cog using target expressions, but what I could REALLY use is a COFFEE expression to stick on some of the cogs so when I turn the first, the rest follow suit at the correct ratio. My limited knowledge of programming (erm, QBasic anyone? ) leads me to believe that it's not a difficult thing to do once you know what you're doing, but the limited dips I've made into C++ showed me that nothing is simple. Any help would be appreciated guys.
