--------- I'm trying to orient particles the same direction as some face normals. The problem is that the alignment must be defined as a Matrix. And the normal is a Vector. How can I change a simple vector into a matrix? And why tha hell must the alignment be defined as a Matrix?!?! Couldn't it be simply a vector? Thank you very much in advence.

Oh, and why doesn't the PSurfacePosition have an option to automatically orient the particles the same way as the normals?!?

Tha orientation isn't uniquely determined by a single vector, since the particle could have a bank angle as well. You can get one of the possible orientations by HPBToMatrix(VectorToHPB(v)), or you can build the matrix yourself using cross products. The options for PSurfacePosition available in the API reflect those available in the application. So please direct questions about the existing features to one of the user forums, or to the suggestions form. (I wouldn't know much more than you about TP...
