I was trying to write a shader that is using the depth of the object. So I am accessing the VolumeData object.
I found the
[int] TraceGeometry([Ray] ray, [int] lhit, [vector] &p;, [vector] &n;);
function, but if I try to call it (with the sample) C4D tells me: too less parameters. If I add another parameter it complains about the type - nice Joke - how should I know the type?? Or what's the mistake I am doing?
And where can I find a documentation of the "Ray" class???
thx in advance
PS: Can I access the class infos via COFFEE? (method names, parameters, etc)

Question answered in a later thread.
No, you cannot get any other information about a class than its name through getclass() and its parent through getparent().

BTW: The ray class is not documented in the COFFEE docs, though it is mentioned there. You'll find the neccessary info in the C-SDK though!
