Solved R20 - R21 Brakes xpresso setup

Hi there,

I have been referred to this forum from Maxon support, hoping someone may be able to shed some light on an issue I am having.

I have camera rig that uses xpresso to blend between cameras. On the update from R19 to R20 I had to update the C.O.F.F.E.E. nodes with python in order to get it working in R20.

Now we have updated to R21 it has broken again. Have there been any updates made with R21 that would likely break an xpresso setup?

Try to find Xpresso nodes with Undefined ports. Maybe it will help.

With regard to your issue, we're not aware of any change in the Xpresso in R21 that could lead to this unexpected behavior.

Could you please simplify your setup and provide a testing scene to replicate it here?

Thank you for your replies. I have attached the scene file.

If I open the project in R20 the main camera blends from camera to camera as it should. However when opened in R21 it no longer works.

While I understand you have been forwarded from our colleagues in plugincafe.
I can say this bug is not related to the SDK, so normally we will not answer to this as it's related to an issue regarding Cinema 4D and not the API. But anyway, I've opened a bug report regarding this issue so thanks for reporting bugs! :)

Hi sorry for the late reply, unfortunately it's a limitation of the sweep nurbs, since he was rewritten. So you need to create it again and rewire things.
