With regard to your question, unfortunately there's no example code to be publicly shared. I confirm that you need to write your own custom dialog to manage your plugin licenses and consequently adapt the SNCheck in order to have your plugin listed (and licensed) in the Registration Dialog (accessed via Help->Personalization).
I also wrote a blog post on our developers.maxon.net discussing the topic and for the sake of completeness landing on this page you'll find all the post where the "Licens" word appears.
