User Information: Cinema 4D Version: any Platform: Windows ; Mac ; Language(s) : C++ ;
--------- Hello, let's say, user have registered version X of Cinema and GeGetSerialinfo returns something like `22904200519, so unique license number is in this case ``00519.
When he upgrades to version X+1 will the unique license number be the same or does it change?
(I'm using NFR license and demo versions and I need to know it, so I may adjust licensing of our plugin. Customers wants registration bound to software serial rather than hardware number.)
Thank you. `

Thank you. Is there any other way to check if it is the same Cinema license?

Just a quick confirmation, C4DS is right, this part of the license number does not stay constant over major releases.

Sorry, hadn't seen your follow up post. No, I don't think so. I will double check tomorrow and will get back here, if I should be wrong.

I would be interested to know this as well, but I honestly suspect there is no relationship between unique numbers of different versions. I have had Cinema since R9, and have not seen a consistent unique number while upgrading all the way up to R19.

I got confirmation, there's no correlation between the license numbers of different major releases.
