Polygon Reduction

Yes the Polygon Reduction deformer has the limitation that it only works with triangles. It always converts quads to triangles before the reduction process.

You should search the web for Polygon Reduction algorithms but I'm afraid Python is not the most suitable language for such intensives calculations.
